EVENT RENTAL POLICY
Sustenance Cooking Studio is a place for community to share food, friendship and fun. We are delighted that you want to share the facility with your own community and ask that you read these instructions carefully so that we can maintain Sustenance for the use of all.
REGULATIONS
FACILITY USE AGREEMENT
All Users shall be required to sign a Facility Use Agreement. This shall serve as a binding contract. Rental use of the site shall be delineated solely by this document and the Facility Use Agreement. Initialed Regulations, signed facility use agreement and all deposits will all be due at the same time.
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
User is required to provide proof of General Liability coverage in the following minimum amounts: For bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate limit.
ENDORSEMENT REQUIREMENTS
Sustenance Cooking Studio must be named as an Additional Insured/Lessor of Premise. An endorsement shall be attached which states that coverage is PRIMARY INSURANCE and that no other insurance maintained by Sustenance shall be called upon to contribute to a loss covered by this policy. Waiver of Subrogation is to be in favor of Sustenance.
DANGEROUS OR OFFENSIVE BEHAVIOR
Behavior or activities that are offensive, abusive, illegal, or which may result in the endangerment of Sustenance guests, personnel, visitors, collections or facilities are expressly prohibited. Sustenance personnel or its agent may request that individuals engaging in such behavior leave the premises. Sustenance personnel or its agent may terminate any event at any time if, in their reasonable judgment, the event endangers Sustenance, its guests, personnel, visitors, collections or facilities. Sustenance personnel or its agent shall strictly enforce the facility use agreement and regulations. The User is responsible for the behavior of its guests, invitees and agents while they are at Sustenance.
PARKING
Parking onsite is very limited. Your guests may park in public parking and on the streets nearby
DEPOSITS & PAYMENT
All Users shall be subject to a reservation deposit and a security (damage) deposit.
Deposits are due at the time of booking.
Reservation Deposit: 50% of total fees
Security Deposit: $150 (1-49 attendees)
$250 (50+ attendees)
Sustenance may retain all of a portion of the security deposit if physical damage is done to any part of the facility, if significant cleaning above and beyond normal use is required, if Sustenance deems any action by the client and or guests inappropriate or if any other default occurs hereunder. Sustenance will determine the amount to be refunded to the client. Any refund due will be mailed to the client within 30 days after the event date. Sustenance shall not be required to keep the security deposit separate from its general funds, the security check will be deposited and the client shall not be entitled to interest on the security deposit. Sustenance’s rights with respect to the security deposit shall be in addition to all other rights or remedies available in the event of a breach.

ALCOHOL
Alcoholic beverages may be served at events subject to prior written approval from Sustenance and in accordance with local and state laws. User must obtain any required permits and licenses at User’s expense and provide Sustenance with a copy of permits at least 24 hours before the event. A server or bartender must be provided to ensure that alcohol is not made available to minors and that guests do not consume in excess.
DECORATIONS
Sustenance is rented “as is”. Decorations must be approved in advance and shall be limited to table decorations or free standing decorative elements. Nothing may be placed or hung on the walls, doors, or windows of the buildings. This includes the use of tapes, tacks or similar such items in walls, floors, doors, doorframes or furniture.
CLEAN-UP
Sustenance will be available to User only during the hours indicated in the agreement. After a half-hour grace period, an additional fifty percent (50%) surcharge per hour (based on the total facility rental charge) will be added to the fee for the use of the facilities.
You will have paid a clean up fee as part of your rental. Sustenance staff will clean after your event. Anything left onsite will be disposed of unless prior arrangements are made.
SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited at Sustenance and within 25’ of the building. Violation of this policy will result in loss of partial or all of the security deposit if smoking or evidence of smoking is discovered before, during, or after the event.
